Abbey Jackson’s career spans engineering, product, and leadership roles across a wide variety of domains including mobile apps, SaaS platforms, R&D tooling, finance, security, and automotive systems. She has contributed to projects at Intel, Mastercard, Rivian, startups, and agencies including stealth hardware initiatives, internal employee tooling, and even retail apps, giving her an unusually broad perspective on what it takes to build a product end-to-end.
Key roles include:
Mobile Engineer at small agency -> built several apps for major US clients from the ground up for my first job.
Mobile Engineer at Intel -> worked on AR hardware and mobile integration.
Mobile Lead at Mastercard -> tech lead for an anti-fraud mobile sdk.
Staff Engineer at Rivian –> architected app-to-vehicle communication (earned a patent).
Fullstack Engineer, Release Engineer, and Product Manager -> additional projects spanning internal tools, SaaS, and consumer-facing products at start-ups, agencies, and large companies.
Product Leadership Consultant -> working directly with early-stage founders to guide product strategy at an agency and independently through Up Coast Digital Products, Inc.

Abbey has pursued formal learning alongside hands-on work, completing BrainStation courses in UI Design and Product Management, as well as advanced programs through Reforge. She has also contributed to education and mentorship: volunteering as an iOS instructor for Young Women in Business, and exploring nonprofit tech education by founding CodeDoesGood (no longer operational), in addition to mentoring many new iOS developers...and now, founders...throughout her career.
Her approach to building Up Coast Leaders was shaped not only by professional experience but also by personal health challenges, including a spinal injury and Long COVID. These experiences forced her to rethink sustainable, accessible ways to support others in tech without relying on high-intensity scaling or restricted access.
The mission is to provide practical, applied guidance to aspiring app founders and product leaders, especially those outside traditional tech pathways, helping them navigate the full lifecycle of app creation, from research and strategy to launch.
